We warmly invite you to the symposium „Re: New European Bauhaus. For a Just Design of Climate Politics“, that takes place March 5th and 6th, 2022. Transdisciplinary panels and workshops handle theoretically and practically the agency of the arts in climate politics. Our aim is to politice the debate on the transformative project of the EU, the „New European Bauhaus“ straight from a perspective of climate justice - with a broad range of speakers from Jan van Eyck Academie, the Rosa-Luxemburg-Stiftung, DiEM25, European Alternatives, Green New Deal for Europe and Kipppunkte Kollektiv. Saturday and sunday the School of Commons hosts together with Klasse Klima and with kind support of re-source | Sustainability in the Arts a public screening of the whole Symposium at Toniareal, 4.T48| sat. from 11.30 | sun from 12.00.

Sunday at 5.30 pm with the end of the Symposium we will host a get-together „how to design just in the crisis?“ with Marea Hildebrand from School of Commons, Flurina Gradin of Department of Design and Lili Hillerich and Johann Otten from Klasse Klima.We seek exchange about artistic practices of responsibility, ask about the politicizability of aesthetic processes and how climate justice can be a natural part of creative work at the intersection of material and ideal transformation.
